Social-type websites seem to pop up everywhere on the net these days. For instance, take a look at PeekYou.com. This website was launched a while ago and its aim is to provide you with a chance to find… yourself!
Currently there are (according to the site’s homepage) 134,642,669 people in PeekYou.com already. With a quick number crunch – with over 6.6 billion people on this planet, you have about 1/70 probability of finding some data about yourself.
It seems like a quick and simple way to post your identity or find someone you know and lost contact with. You can even submit yourself if you want, so that others can find you through the site. If you can’t find the person you’re looking for on their DB, they also offer a Google-based search engine. I found many pages where my name is. No namesakes, though. It’s kind of nice to know that no one else has your name…
So, if you want to find that someone you long lost contact with or want to find out how many namesakes you have, do an ego search and PeekYou and find out.
