“Government & Industry as common stakeholders should make India the No 1 country in services export”
“Services Sector – The face of ‘Brand India”, said Jyotiraditya Scindia
‘Services Sector has given face to ‘Brand India’ that resiliently launched India on the growth trajectory’ said Mr Jyotiraditya Scindia, Minister of State for Commerce & Industry at the valedictory session of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) National Conference on “Services Export”, held here today. He added that Government & Industry as common stakeholders should make India the No 1 country in services export.
He added that the bouquet of services needed to be re-engineered, widened, made more comprehensive and deep to invoke large share of the global services market, which is currently 106 billion dollars. He also advocated the need to asses the demand potential of each service vertical and the matching skills requirement for creating and enhancing the employability of manpower.
Mr Scindia said that Indian IT sector has done well in tough times not only with cost arbitrage and talent pool but also by building a globalised value chain. Similarly, automotive, hi-tech and engineering sectors are constantly moving up the value chain, which will pay rich dividends and help recuperate from the recession.
Mr Scindia informed that 2.5 billion tourists came to India last year and as the ratio of direct to indirect employment in tourism sector is as high as 1:8. Therefore, we must explore all opportunities to grow tourism including medical tourism.
Mr Vinayak Chatterjee, Chairman, CII Infrastructure Council and Chairman, Feedback Ventures Pvt Ltd in his welcome remarks said that challenges that may come up in the internationalizing of India’s service sector include non-tariff barriers, visa issues, educational qualifications and accordingly requested Government to ensure that these are not imposed as that will become barrier for services exports. He suggested that Government may use aggressive economic diplomacy by increasing the basket of services that needs to be broadened, provide confidence to domestic market players to bid for foreign ventures and more importantly remove the non-tariff and other hidden barriers.
Mr Malvinder Singh, Group Chairman, Fortis Healthcare and Religare Enterprises highlighted the huge untapped potential of India’s services sector including healthcare that itself is broad based touching paramedical, medical tourism, medicine education, telemedicine, KPO, tele-radiology, pathology, nursing etc.
Mr P Rajendran, COO, NIIT Ltd said that while leveraging the base of the pyramid of IT service, we need to look to broaden the tip of the pyramid by creating conducive environment for Intellectual property (IP) creation. He commented that BPO is no more only an IT services but has proliferated into all other verticals enhancing their own value and reach. He also said that Business Process Outsourcing has opened up the meaning of globalization and now other services are also being served from India.
While thanking Mr Jyotiraditya Scindia, Minister of State for Commerce & Industry, the Director General of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mr Chandrajit Banerjee complimented Hon’ble Minister for transforming and providing right ‘branding’ to the Indian postal services and requested him to continue providing similar leadership, partnership and guidance for services exports growth. He also maintained that the Industry requested Government to provide the market focus approach to services sector in the upcoming Foreign Trade Policy, as has been provided to the merchandising sectors for many years.

Dear Sir, Please find below release on Homeopathy helps to reduce male pattern baldness for your perusal.
Homeopathy helps to reduce Male Pattern Baldness
Mumbai, 31st July 2009: Male pattern baldness or androgenic alopecia is a common form of hair loss in men. Hair is lost in a well-defined pattern, beginning above both temples. Over a period of time, the hairline recedes to form a characteristic "M" shape. Hair also thins at the crown of the head. Often, a rim of hair around the sides and rear of the head is left, or sometimes the condition may progress to complete baldness. Male pattern baldness is caused by the genetic sensitivity of hair follicles to DHT (Dihydrotestosterone), which causes them to shrink when exposed to it. This shortens their lifespan and prevents them from producing hair normally. Almost 95% men lose their hair because of this.
Mr. Sunil (name changed), a 34-year-old marketing executive, was suffering from hair fall since the last 1-2 years. He had almost lost 25% of his hair with balding patches at the sides and the vertex. Balding was affecting his confidence as well as his work performance. With unemployment increasing due to recession, he was apprehensive about losing his job, in which appearance and personality mattered a lot, and this added to his depression and low self esteem. He was referred to Dr. Batra’s® by one of his relatives. After a detailed case history and examination, the doctor diagnosed this condition as male pattern baldness. His lifestyle was quite hectic and he also skipped meals often. Smoking and drinking alcohol were part of his daily routine. He had been smoking as many as seven cigarettes a day for the last 2-3 years. He also informed the doctor that his father and uncles were in a similar state by the age of 40 years.
Based on his symptoms and personality, the doctor prescribed his constitutional remedy Lycopodium 200C along with a Soya rich diet. He was asked to modify his lifestyle and quit smoking if possible. Regular follow-ups saw a marked reduction in his hair fall and maintenance of his condition.
Homeopathy is the safest mode of treatment as it reduces hair fall and retards the progress of the condition without any side-effects. Research has shown that the homeopathic remedies that are useful in treating male pattern baldness naturally inhibit the action of DHT or reduce its conversion from testosterone so as to control hair loss.
